Why Listen To My Opinion? What Makes Me An Expert

Hey I’m Joshua. I have been full time entrepreneur since 2019. When I first started dropshipping, I tried MANY different dropshipping courses.

Many of them had similar information to what you can find on youtube. I ended up wasting not just my time but, my money. (Not just course cost but, ad spend.)

Since then, it has been my mission to review these courses to ensure that this doesn’t happen to you. I have devoted over 400+ hours thoroughly researching various ecommerce courses!

What is Dropshipping Crash Course?

Dropshipping Crash Course aims to be a guide for beginners to help them build a successful Shopify store. The course covers a lot of ground, from store creation to marketing strategies. There are many marketing strategies introduced in class. Some are covered very thoroughly, but some seem to stop abruptly without continuing the subtopics. Nevertheless, you will still learn a lot of ideas, and you just might end up spending some more time and even money searching for information yourself.

Who is Sebastian Ghorghiu?

Dropshipping Crash Course Author Sebastian Ghiorghiu

Sebastian Ghorghiu is a popular name in the world of YouTube dropshipping. According to his claims, he has been in the dropshipping business for 18 months. Sebastian is 19 years old this year and has dabbled in various online activities, including affiliate marketing. His YouTube videos are mostly in this niche. However, as captivating as some might find him, his videos always have clickbait titles to lure people in. Although he claims to be a dropshipping guru, most of his videos are just him flaunting his luxurious lifestyle. It seems as though that is all he knows. But if you are familiar with the dropshipping industry, you will know that this is apparent for almost every ‘online entrepreneur’.

Who is the Dropshipping Crash Course For?

Dropshipping Crash Course is for anyone new to dropshipping or is just looking for a one-stop guide to dropshipping. Although the course lacks information in certain areas, a beginner can learn how to create a store, set up the store, and some traffic ideas to get traffic for your store. You will have an up and running store by the end of the program. Although everything in the program seems to be targeted at beginners, the course is not a beginner’s price. As a beginner myself a few years back, I can tell you I had no marketing budget when I first started, let alone a budget to learn. So, if you are a beginner who was like me, and I am sure most beginners are in the same position, you probably will not have the budget to buy this course. Although I do agree that you should invest in learning if you are a beginner, I also believe you should be smart in spending! There are other more affordable courses out there, and a ton of free information online. So, depending on your preference, I would advise beginners to be smart in spending their money!

What is included in the Dropshipping Crash Course?

Sebastian Gioghiu’s Dropshipping Crash Course costs $594 to sign up for. The price point is on the high side, but definitely cheaper than some courses that can go up to thousands! You can access the course on the Teachable platform, which makes the course materials easily accessible from anywhere at any time. You get eight modules with the program and let us take a look at each module.

Module 1 – Introduction

This introduction video begins with Sebastian talking about his own experience making $600 on the first day of his dropshipping business. Now, as an experienced drop shipper, I found this part of being a little fishy because that is merely impossible. There is no way a new store can gain that much traffic in just a day. I also simply can not believe that one can create a store, find a niche, import products, and get that much traffic all in a day. Even if by some magical reason you can make $600 in a day, this would not all be profits as you need to consider the advertisement and startup costs, etc.

Module 2 – Finding Products

Product research usually takes up a bulky module, which is why I found it surprising that this one only has two short videos. You will learn about finding products using Facebook, AliExpress, Instagram, and Twitter. There is not much new information here, and everything Sebastian teaches is pretty basic. Then, Sebastian suggests selling branded products. This tip should be taken with a pinch of salt, as it is quite a tricky thing to invest in. Selling branded products might get you more profits, but what if something goes wrong with the sale? If something goes wrong with a branded product sale, you might be the one who ends up reimbursing or refunding customers should they receive a faulty product, etc. If you have a good and reliable supplier, this should not be a problem, but it is a recipe for disaster, especially for beginners. I would suggest you choose products that you are passionate about.

Module 3 – Finding the right niche

Sebastian starts off this module by introducing profitable niches. Most people do not share this information as it brings more competition into the industry. Also, if all of Sebastian’s students take his advice, then this competition will be amongst his members. Therefore, using his ideas might not be so useful. Then, you will learn about product pricing and how to write compelling product descriptions. Lastly, you also get some videos on product imports and how to add comments.

Module 4 – Traffic Promotion and Control

Traffic is significant for your business. Sebastian begins this module by talking about using Instagram marketing. Again, the information he shares is pretty basic. Then, he goes on to talk about getting fake followers! I find this to be very unethical, even though a lot of people choose to do it. I just do not comprehend how fake followers can do anything for your store, as they do not purchase anything? It can only make your store look good by having so many followers, but this does not translate to sales or profits. After this, Sebastian discusses competitive and saturated niches and how you can avoid them. Then, you will learn about creating engaging and fun ads. Sebastian even shares his store at the end of this module to give you an example of how he gets high conversions.

Module 5 – From 0 to 1,000

This seems to be the bulkiest module in the program, with ten videos in total. Sebastian begins by talking about searching for your ‘Golden Product.’ This is essentially adding on to the topic of niche search. Following this, Sebastian talks about importing and writing effect descriptions for your product. Again, this has already been covered in one of the previous modules. After all this, Sebastian talks about building your store and installing applications and also Facebook Pixel. I am not sure if this module was meant to be a summary of the whole program, but it is useless as it just repeats information from previous modules.

Module 6 – Instagram Marketing

Now, this is another traffic gaining topic. Sebastian talks about getting free organic traffic and followers. Interestingly, he talks about this after introducing a method on how to get fake followers. Nevertheless, the self-acclaimed guru talks about using Influencers and Facebook ads to drive traffic to your store. This sounds great, but he does not talk about the downside of this, which is that you need to spend a lot of time interacting with influencers and audiences to get your products to sell. Using Sebastian’s fake followers’ method will not work, because these bots will not purchase anything or give you any sales.

Module 7 – Facebook Advertising

Here, you will learn to set up a Facebook ad account and start creating Facebook ads. Sebastian seems to skip over the part about audience targeting. Your ads will be useless if you do not target them. He also does not talk about converting or scaling winning ads, or what to do when an ad fails. He just talks about the Facebook ad basics like configuring ads. Overall, this module was helpful, but only in the sense that Sebastian introduces these ideas, but he does not elaborate more on these great ideas.

Module 8 – Twitter Advertising

Twitter advertising is not a usually discussed topic, but a great marketing strategy, nonetheless. Twitter advertising usually works for fashion brands as most fashion influencers use Twitter. This module itself is not very useful, in my opinion, as Sebastian again introduces the helpful topic but does not elaborate or share much information after. For example, it teaches you how to create ads and execute them, but without proper targeting or audience selection, your efforts will be fruitless.

Extras

Included in the extras are downloadable documents that will be beneficial to beginners. These are templates and checklists such as a launch checklist. You also get templates for reaching out to influencers, but they are very generic.

Final Thoughts

At the beginning of the course, I thought Sebastian shares a lot of useful information, especially for beginners. If I were a beginner myself, I would be able to follow the program and build a Shopify store. Nevertheless, there are some parts where Sebastian makes bold claims like how you can use the course to help you make $600 as he did on his first day.

Now, I am not one to promote fake news, and this is not true. It is simply impossible for a new store to get this much traffic in a day. As an experienced drop shipper, I know that it takes time to build traffic. And even if you do make $600 eventually, Sebastian fails to mention that this is not all profits. He fails to teach you about startup costs and marketing costs that you need to spend.

Furthermore, moving along the course, the course content just becomes repetitive. For example, there is a whole module that is only a summary of the entire class! I found that very confusing. Also, that module was placed right in the middle of the course instead of at the beginning or the end. This could be a not-so-smart way for Sebastian to just saturate the course with as much information as possible to make the high price seem ‘worth it.’

I have gone through a lot of these dropshipping guru courses and personally, a lot of them are overpriced courses with very little information. They always try to sell you the dream or the lifestyle rather than actually selling you information. Dropshipping is not an overnight get-rich-quick scheme but, a lot of these gurus make it out like that. That’s why they ask for ridiculous prices for their courses. So, I personally get why you’d not trust these courses.

I have reviewed over 50+ dropshipping and eCommerce courses on my blog and by far the best course I recommend for any beginner or intermediate dropshipper is eCom Elites by Franklin Hatchett. Now, the reason why I love this course is that it’s one of the most affordable dropshipping courses out there and it has literally over 150+ videos. Franklin’s been doing dropshipping for many many years even before it was made famous by a lot of the gurus.

Now if you are still wondering whether you should try it out or not, you should read my eCom Elites Review to make an informed decision on whether or not you should get it or not.
