From the outside, even the lesson titles look exciting, but once you go through them, the information is worse than basic. May Aries, a member of the Financial Joy team, primarily presents the class. It aims to help you build a working and captivating store within a day and in five easy steps. The course also claims to help beginners save on advertisement costs. They use this as their selling point to get beginners to sign up, also promising that the whole process will be effortless. Financial Joy also uses the same marketing strategy for their courses like most online entrepreneurs, by generating publicity around their ‘perfect secret formula for successful ecommerce business.’ Many people claim to have the ‘secret formula,’ but from my experience of reviewing all these similar courses, there is never anything new or shocking.

Moreover, for a team of people claiming to help beginners save marketing or product budgets, they sure do charge pretty steep prices for their courses. You probably will need to keep on advertising costs if you sign up for this course! My advice is rather for you to skip this course, spend a little time searching for free information online, and then spend on marketing costs. That would be a smarter sequence for your store, rather than spending on a course with limited information.

On the outside, the course seems to be targeted towards beginner dropshippers. Nonetheless, only beginners who specifically want to use the eBay platform would relate to this course because that is the only platform discussed in this program. However, from my years of experience of being a dropshipper, I always advise beginners to familiarize themselves with all kinds of platforms, so you get some options. Even other elements are very specific. For example, May Aries only shares a supplier search on AliExpress and a product search using eBay.

Nonetheless, if you still think the course is for you after going through the rest of this review, then you can also do it with the guidance of this course. The dropshipping business is especially perfect for those who are looking for some extra side income. With the dwindling economy, one source of income hardly suffices to feed an individual, let alone a family. However, when you consider that the class only consists of 21 videos in total, it does not sound too promising unless each video is uncomfortably long. Nevertheless, let us go through the lessons so that you know what to expect.

Lesson 1 – Introduction

Before this lesson 1 titled Introduction, there was a mini introduction where you will get to know the course structure. It was a short overview of what you are going to learn. Then, lesson 1 will bring you through the dropshipping business model, what it is, and how it works, etc. The Financial Joy team explains all of this is fundamental detail, nothing special from all the free information you can also find on Google.

Lesson 2 – Selling Platform

The title of this module should be changed to ‘Selling on eBay.’ The reason I find this misleading is because I was hoping to learn about a variety of platforms, so at least beginners can have some options. But on the contrary, the Financial Joy team immediately introduces eBay and why you should use it. There is no mention of other platforms like Shopify at all. Joy claims to prefer using eBay because it will not incur charges so you can begin selling as soon as possible.

Lesson 3 – Setup, Payment, Fees

Here, you will learn how to set up your store on eBay. Included in elements to setup are payment options, logistic settings, and making sense of the sellers’ fees. By the end of this module, you should have all of these elements set up.

Lesson 4 – Suppliers

Suppliers in this course only discuss one supplier, which is AliExpress. AliExpress is widely used by most dropshippers. It is an excellent place to find suppliers, but then again, competition might be high, so product research is crucial. This lesson only discusses how you can use AliExpress to find suppliers, but does not go into detail like negotiation tips or examples.

Lesson 5 – Product Research

Product research is vital, and I feel it should come before the ‘Suppliers’ section instead of after. Nevertheless, Joy will teach you product search using eBay. Again, there are no other options discussed here. Also, you will not know why conducting product research is crucial, as the Financial Joy team does not provide any depth on this topic. You will learn about a list of expensive products like products that do not have quick shipping options to avoid. But that is all.

Lesson 6 – Product Listing

Now that you have your products, it is time to display good quality pictures with captivating titles and compelling descriptions. Posting a good quality picture will show customers that you are a premium brand, compared to if you use a highly pixelated image. You won’t want customers associating your store with a spam site. Secondly, you should avoid using clickbait titles and instead try to optimize them with SEO. The same goes for your product descriptions. It is no surprise that this lesson fails to explain the importance of having good product listings. However, beginners will learn how to list products and to optimize them.

Lesson 7 – Schedule

This lesson is rather short, but you will learn when and how to list your products. There is no further explanation of why timing your product listing is essential, and beginners will have to do more research by themselves.

Lesson 8 – Rating and Feedback

When I first saw this lesson, I thought I was hoping it will be OK. Not many dropshipping courses will talk about the importance of reviews in boosting customer’s trust and brand credibility. Nonetheless, I was disappointed again by the lack of information. The whole lesson was only 2 minutes long! Beginners will only learn the steps to gain useful feedback and ratings for your new store. It does not explain why it is essential, or what aspects should you watch out for to maintain your good ratings.

Lesson 9 – After-sales

After-sales refers to creating a successful and, more importantly, sustainable business. Getting your first few months of profits feels good, but once you’re done celebrating, it is time to think about scaling your business to unlock another level of achievement for yourself. You will learn how to place orders, strategies to handle customer returns and refunds, and automation methods for updating customers on their product logistics. Product logistics mostly refers to when they will be receiving their products. As good as the topics discussed in this lesson, I was expecting more in terms of other scaling methods, such as using paid ads to boost traffic. The Financial Joy team also does not talk about marketing strategies!

Ultimate Dropshipping Course Final Verdict

Overall, the course information is massively disappointing. The Financial Joy team also does not talk about marketing strategies! There are so many lessons in this module, but no one discusses any good marketing strategy. This is an abomination. The course seems to stop after you have built a store abruptly. This store is also elementary, as May Ariel doesn’t go over the customization and overall look of your store. If you are OK with paying almost $500 for a course with information that you can find for free online, then this course is for you. Also, the only support option for this $500 Ultimate Dropshipping course is minimal. Especially with a team of people, the ideal situation is if they offer one on one time with members. However, there is just a single email address that you can use to email them, and not even weekly Q&A sessions or a live chat. This means that you are also not guaranteed to receive a reply.

I have gone through a lot of these dropshipping guru courses and personally, a lot of them are overpriced courses with very little information. They always try to sell you the dream or the lifestyle rather than actually selling you information. Dropshipping is not an overnight get-rich-quick scheme but, a lot of these gurus make it out like that. That’s why they ask for ridiculous prices for their courses. So, I personally get why you’d not trust these courses.
