Hold onto that money, because in this article, I’ll provide you with an honest review of one of the most underwhelming dropshipping courses I’ve come across recently: the Performance Dropshipping course by Hayden Bowles.

I’ve scrutinized the course material, explored its pros and cons, and delved into its policies to give you a comprehensive overview. Spoiler alert: There are a lot of downsides. 

So, before you consider investing in this course, read on to find out if it’s truly worth your money, or if you’d be better off using those funds for your paid ads and gaining practical experience in the world of e-commerce.

Hayden’s journey started when he was just 18 years old, and he became a self-made millionaire in the world of dropshipping and eCommerce.

He gained fame and followers on platforms like Instagram and YouTube, where he shared his experiences, entrepreneurial tips, and motivational videos. Hayden’s not your typical millionaire, though. He’s down-to-earth and relatable, which makes his content easy to connect with. His worth is respected, it’s just that he doesn’t put his heart into this course. 

His claim to fame is his Hacking Shopify Dropshipping course, which has gained quite a reputation. But here’s the catch: Hayden’s not just about the money. He believes in using eCommerce to gain both money and time freedom.

Hayden’s net worth is impressive, but what’s more impressive is his willingness to share his knowledge with aspiring entrepreneurs. His course, while a bit pricey, aims to help you build a business without the need for huge startup costs. His attempt is sincere, but not good enough. 

What You’ll Learn In The Course

Here’s what you can expect to learn from this course: 

Module 1 – Introduction

In this brief 3-minute and 26-second module, Hayden Bowles sets the tone for the course. However, it feels more like a teaser than an informative introduction, leaving you curious about what’s to come without delivering substantial content.

Module 1 gives you a basic rundown of dropshipping, but honestly, it’s like dipping your toes into the ocean. You might find yourself craving more in-depth knowledge to really swim in these competitive waters.

Module 2 – Store, Research, and Rapid Product Testing

This module is supposed to cover the essentials of creating your Shopify store or general store, conducting product research, and performing rapid product testing. 

While these are critical elements of dropshipping, the module lacked in-depth strategies, making it challenging to execute these crucial tasks effectively. There was a lot more to teach, but Hayden cut it short. 

Even though Module 2 talks about setting up your store and finding products, to me it felt like I didn’t have the full instructions to set up a decent store. You’ll need more detailed insights to whip up a successful Aliexpress or Shopify dropshipping business. It was a half baked module. 

Module 3 – Build High Converting Ads

Creating high-converting ads is crucial for success, but this module might not provide the comprehensive guidance needed. Effective ad creation involves various factors, and the content here did not address them most thoroughly.

In Module 3, they touch on creating ads, but it’s like giving you a small brush to paint a big canvas. If you’re looking for advanced ad conversion techniques, you might feel a bit stuck.

Module 4 – Facebook Ads

Facebook ads are a cornerstone of dropshipping, and this module seems substantial. However, it’s important to remember that successful Facebook advertising can be intricate, and these videos might not cover all the complexities involved.

Module 4 dives into Facebook ads, but it’s more like skimming the surface than a deep dive. To become a Facebook ad guru, you’ll probably need a lot more guidance than what’s offered here. Much to my disappointment, they covered none of the advanced topics like lookalike audience, lowest cost cap bidding and so much more. 

Module 5 – TikTok Ads

Module 5 is all about TikTok ads, but it’s like learning a dance move without mastering the whole routine. For TikTok success, you’ll need more in-depth strategies. 

Thanks to Hayden’s social media popularity as a content creator, this module did not disappoint. But did it teach anything that Hayden doesn’t already talk about in his shorts on TikTok? Unfortunately not really! 

Module 6 – Scaling Ads With A Winning Product

Scaling ads is a pivotal aspect of dropshipping, but success depends on various factors. This module did not offer the strategies needed to ensure successful scaling, leaving you with unanswered questions.

I also thought this could just be an extension of the Facebook ads module and not a separate one if it had to be as superficial as it was. I was looking to learn more about metrics like CTR and ROAS or A/B testing tutorials. 

Module 7 – Transitioning From A Store To A Brand

Building a brand is essential for long-term success. However, the course’s overall content quality raised concerns about whether this module provides sufficient thorough knowledge to transition effectively from a store to a brand.

It talks about becoming a brand, and how important it is but nothing much of substance about the steep ladders you need to climb for it. Unfortunately, this module left me unimpressed since I expected Hayden to shed light on his practical experience as well. 

Module 8 – Financial Literacy

Financial literacy is critical for managing a business. This module covers finances, how much you need to invest, and how much you might earn. And they do overstate the returns to lure in students. 

It would’ve been better if they had broken down financial lessons based on different platforms and niches. 

Module 9 – Bonus Videos

Module 9 consists of 16 bonus videos, each delving into various aspects of dropshipping and e-commerce. These additional resources cover a wide range of topics, including strategies for planning around the Chinese New Year, competitor analysis techniques, and in-depth price testing methods.

Despite this module’s attempt to tackle a myriad of dropshipping and e-commerce topics, I have to admit that the sheer amount of content left me feeling somewhat overwhelmed. Instead of really delving into specific areas, it kind of spread itself thinly, making it hard to truly immerse myself and get a deep understanding. 

Cost And Refund Policy

The Performance Dropshipping course comes at a significant cost, at $500! 

Do note that it’s essential for potential students to be aware of the pricing and the associated refund policy so that they don’t feel scammed. 

The course is not cheap, with a one-time payment required for access. Unfortunately, it’s relatively expensive compared to other online courses, making it a considerable investment, especially for a beginner. 

One crucial aspect to consider is the course’s refund policy, which is quite stringent. There are no refunds offered, and this policy applies without exceptions. Upon purchase, students gain immediate access to all course materials, which means there’s no turning back.

This strict refund policy can be a cause for concern, especially if you are one of those who has reservations or second thoughts after making such a substantial financial commitment.
