Today, we’ll be reviewing a course by Alex Fedotoff focused on scaling an eCommerce venture through sales funnels. It definitely sounds promising, but does it deliver on these expectations?
That’s our objective today: determining whether or not it’s worth your money as well as giving you my own opinion in the end.
To start things off, the course builds on the idea that a sales funnel is necessary for success – not just a store. In fact, Alex firmly believes skipping this step is the reason why most dropshipping businesses die in less than 2 years.
Funny note: he offers a free case study when promoting his course, and signing up for it sends you straight towards his sales funnel. After you’ve given him your email, Alex will send promotions regularly about his course and how you can sign up.
What is eCommerce Scaling Secrets?
This course is marketed in the same way it teaches: signing up to a sales funnel. You can check out his YouTube videos to find links to his website, which direct you to a squeeze page where you can give him your email.
This gives you a video teaching you Alex’s different predictions. Among these, we have that dropshipping is a dying business – even pairing it with Amazon’s FBA – and that the solution is innovative marketing methods, including sales funnels. Alex claims warming up visitors is essential to get them to buy.
It’s funny he calls this “innovation”, especially since sales funnels are a proven marketing approach existing for several years already. In fact, they’ve been nearly as old as the internet, “sales funnel” is just a modernized name.
Furthermore, the video isn’t really useful. It’s just there to hype you towards learning how to use sales funnels. You already know what this is: warming you up to get the course.
This “case study” also touches on his Facebook marketing service; he mentions how he usually builds ads for his different clients. There’s not much information about how his service works; it’s mainly there to make you see he makes money.
Before leaving this video, you’re given the chance to talk with Alex directly. I didn’t take it, though; I’m not really a fan of phone calls, especially when I know they’ll just push me to buy something.
Why am I telling you this? Because the course is basically an rough explanation of how you can do this.
Who is Alex Fedotoff?
Alex is an entrepreneur and YouTube content creator, and he expands this content in his courses. His focus is around social media marketing, and he tends to narrow it down Facebook Ads. From this experience, he created his AF Agency to brand his content and training, selling these as packages when marketing his products.
You can look up his website as well. He explains his multiple services there as well as his own skills, such as making repeating customers out of cold traffic. It’s definitely a bold claim, seeing how cold traffic usually means you’re targeting wrong people and should change your approach – not try to “convert” them forcefully.
You can find Alex on YouTube, and he’s somewhat active producing content related to eCommerce – mainly dropshipping. However, he still has a somewhat small channel with a bit over 13,000 subscribers, and his video views aren’t really impressive either.
Who is eCommerce Scaling Secrets for?
First, the course is better for people wanting to learn how to use sales funnels for their website – as simple as that. It’s essentially a course on a single marketing method.
Additionally, it’s a course for people with enough money to invest in their business. The course itself isn’t as expensive as others (but it’s still overpriced when contrasted with the value offered) – always depending on the current offer since they tend to vary.
No, the problem lies in how you need to add that investment to your marketing costs and subscriptions to create sales funnels. It varies depending on which platforms you want to use and how many people you want to attract, but it’s still a considerable investment.
What is included in eCommerce Scaling Secrets?
Signing up to this program gives you access to 5 modules. You’ll learn the steps of the strategy with these, and there’s a 6th module with assorted tips and training.
The main modules are quite straightforward. You first learn what’s the overall strategy and its objectives, plus some mindset tips. Then, it goes into how you can set up your store and sales funnel; this includes the platforms and steps. The 3rd module teaches you how to research your products and source them before. Module 4 is the marketing module about Facebook Ads before the next module explains how to fulfill your orders using Dropified.
That’s the main content of the course. The 6th module is titled “bonus training”, and it’s basically focused on optimizing Facebook Ads. You learn how to scale your ads, reaching a 7-figure income and overall “master” the platform. There are some tips as on both Facebook and funnels as well.
The course is focused on using sales funnels on Facebook Ads, and that’s all the marketing you’ll learn. It’s not really enough to turn you into a complete expert, but you’ll know your way around it.
eCommerce Scaling Secrets final verdict
To keep things short, I wouldn’t really recommend this course. If you can find a cheap offer, then it could be a nice investment if you want to implement it, but anything over maybe a couple hundred dollars is way too much.
It’s not just because of the amount of knowledge contained within the course; you also need to save money for your subscriptions and marketing – without mentioning your store and apps costs.
I’d prefer you take eCom Elites by Franklin Hatchett. The most expensive package is still barely $297, and you get a lot more knowledge, especially regarding marketing. You’ll still learn about sales funnels and Facebook Ads, but you then have Instagram, SEO, Google Ads, Snapchat, LinkedIn, and more.
eCommerce Scaling Secrets Alternative
I have gone through a lot of these dropshipping guru courses and personally, a lot of them are overpriced courses with very little information. They always try to sell you the dream or the lifestyle rather than actually selling you information. Dropshipping is not an overnight get rich quick scheme but, a lot of these gurus make it out like that. That’s why they ask for ridiculous prices for their courses. So, I personally get why you’d not trust in these courses.
Now, I still recommend a course if your either beginner or intermediate at dropshipping because it can save you a lot of money by optimizing ads and saving you lots of time. My personal favorite and favorite among many others is a course called eCom Elites by Franklin Hatchett. Now, the reason why I love this course because it’s one of the most affordable dropshipping courses out there and it has literally over 150+ videos. Franklin’s been doing dropshipping for many many years even before it was made famous by a lot of the gurus.
Make sure you read my eCom Elites Review to see how much information Franklin packed in this course and offers it at such a low price.
