Dropshipping is a very lucrative business model, and if you’re thinking of starting the business yourself, it is best to equip yourself with a lot of information. Nowadays, you can get most of this information online for free as more online entrepreneurs share their knowledge on their blogs or YouTube channel. As an experienced drop shipper myself, I can tell you that it is worth spending some money on dropshipping courses to learn the business inside out. However, with so many courses out there, you might be stuck in choosing the right one for you. In this review, we will talk about the eCom Domination course. So, if you’ve been looking at this course thinking whether you should sign up, this review can help you answer all your doubts.

I reviewed over 50+ courses & found the #1 dropshipping course.
(Best part is that it’s super affordable with a ton of student results!)

Why Listen To My Opinion? What Makes Me An Expert

Hey I’m Joshua. I have been full time entrepreneur since 2019. When I first started dropshipping, I tried MANY different dropshipping courses.

Many of them had similar information to what you can find on youtube. I ended up wasting not just my time but, my money. (Not just course cost but, ad spend.)

Since then, it has been my mission to review these courses to ensure that this doesn’t happen to you. I have devoted over 400+ hours thoroughly researching various ecommerce courses!

What is the eCom Domination course?

eCom Domination is a dropshipping course by James Beattie. The course is $1,997, and you get nine modules spread over nine weeks. The price is pretty steep so its best you make sure the course is suitable for you. By the end of it, you should have an up and running dropshipping store that is generating profit. The course puts a lot of focus on Facebook Ads, which is a good marketing strategy. However, it doesn’t teach you about the other marketing strategies that will get you even more traffic to your store. More traffic equals more profits for your store to be successful. So, if you’re a beginner, this course might be suitable for you until halfway through as you might have to look for more information online. Also, Facebook Ads are always updating, unless the course also has regular updates, the information might be useless in the upcoming months.

Who is James Beatie?

James Beatie is an Irish drop shipper, YouTuber, and online entrepreneur. He has been in the game for several years, starting with his first course, eCom Insiders, and this eCom domination is his latest with version 4. James is known to be a successful eCommerce businessman with several 6 and 7 figure stores. He usually shares his earnings on his Facebook groups and YouTube channels, but I couldn’t find a way of validating his claims.

Who Is eCom Domination For?

eCom Domination is for anyone who wants to build a dropshipping business using Facebook Ads as their primary source of traffic.

What is included in eCom Domination?

eCom Domination is a dropshipping course that focuses on using Facebook Ads as the primary marketing strategy. Although Facebook Ads is very useful, I think beginners should equip themselves with more knowledge of other marketing strategies as not all will work for every business. However, let’s go through each module to get a better insight into the course. At the end of the nine weeks, there will be an additional topic on case studies to help you get a simulation on real-life dropshipping situations.

Week 1 – Creating Your Store

Each module consists of a video where creator James explains and illustrates the course in a clear manner. As usual, the first module is an introduction to the course, a little bit about himself, and then James begins to teach you how to create your store. He gives you a step by step guide on creating a Shopify store from scratch. This tutorial is handy if you are a beginner. James talks you through everything, including selecting and installing a premium theme, logo addition, and he even touches on customization. After this, you will learn about using different payment methods and about configuring settings for shipping.

James will then teach you about product fulfillment using a plugin that can help you automate orders so that you don’t need to do them manually. After all the implementation tutorials, James then talks about ways to increase the average order value for maximum profits. This section includes creating a bond with customers to improve customer lifetime value and ways to implement customer support. James recommends several plugins and apps for each topic.

Week 2 – Product Research and Sourcing

This next week’s topic centers around finding the right products for your store using some product researching techniques. Finding the correct products can make or break your business, so this is a very crucial part. James also includes a section on automating product research and validating product findings. Validation is essential to find out if your product is a good one to promote.

Next, you will learn about searching for high-quality suppliers on platforms like AliExpress. This module includes tips and tricks on avoiding scammers and looking for genuine suppliers. Working with the right supplier is also vital since the product comes from them, and they are the ones who will ensure your customer gets their product. They are also the ones to make sure that the product is of good quality when it reaches your customer. After you have a right supplier, James teaches you about writing product descriptions that will get your sales going. You can find a lot of research tools to find winning products or ads that will help you stay on top of the competition. James also lightly touches on how to sell licensed products legally.

Week 3 to 4 – Facebook Ads

Now that you have everything set up in the first two weeks, these next two weeks are all about Facebook Ads, and it consists of around 14 videos. Facebook Ads seems like a topic that James places more focus on; however, I only find the first few videos helpful in this section. The first video starts with the importance of Facebook ads, and then you will learn how to set up a business manager for different types of ads and objectives. Knowing your goals and target audience will make sure that your ads are effectively getting high quality leads for your store. After this, James teaches you how to create ads and copy them, and also touches on Facebook targeting options.

James then guides you to launch your first Facebook Ad and also includes a section on how you can analyze your data from Facebook. He then also covers topics such as scaling, retargeting, audiences, and even manual bidding for both international and local traffics. I find this section to be the most helpful out of all the topics in the program. If you follow James’s step by step guides, you will master Facebook Ads in no time.

Week 5 – Email Marketing

Email marketing will help with creating a bond with your customers, strengthening customer loyalty. Statistics show that retaining customers bring in more profits for businesses as compared to new customers. It is also easier to maintain a regular customer than to convert a new one. Therefore, James talks about tools you can use to implement email marketing for your store. James will teach you how to set up abandon cart notifications to win lost sales and how to boost front end sales without remarketing. James also shares some email templates for new customers and introduces some advanced methods.

Week 6 – Alternative Traffic Sources

Although the bulk of James’s course surrounds using Facebook Ads as his preferred marketing strategy, he also touches a little on other strategies in this section. James talks about alternative ways to get traffic such as using basic SEO, YouTube, and Instagram Influencers. These different methods are as important as Facebook Ads in getting traffic; however, James only briefly goes through these points. He only talks about how you can create an Instagram account, ways to find influencers, and how you can negotiate a collaboration with them. This part of the course is good, but he doesn’t go in-depth. Moreover, you will learn how to use YouTube to promote products and also how you can do some basic search engine optimization research.

Week 7 – Managing Operations

Once your store goes live and you start selling some product, you will reach a point where you need to outsource some tasks. Being a one-man-show will only work when you have a small store, but if you want to get bigger, there will be more things you can work on. Therefore, you can build a team and let others handle the little and routine tasks. James talks about how you should go about this and also talks about handling bulk fulfillment. This week’s module doesn’t give much information, and most of the data can be found for free online.

Week 8 – Moving To Next Level

This week, James will share how you can turn your store into a successful brand. James talks about the importance of establishing an identity and ways to retain customers.

Week 9 to 10 – Mindset and Case Studies

Having a good mindset is important if you want to build a successful dropshipping business. Most people go into the business thinking they can make big money fast. However, this is usually not the case and their business fails. Dropshipping can make you a lot of money, but it is not easy. Therefore, having the right mindset is important to keep you motivated during tough times. However, I do not think you need a whole week or even video for this. Usually, programs will have this at the start as a brief introduction. Although I think this is important, it is not necessary to prolong the topic. Also, I’m quite sure people who is paying so much for a dropshipping course already has the correct mindset for the business.

Lastly, you will also get case studies on using Facebook Ads rapid scaling methods. James shares his real-life experiences and I think this is a good way to learn from other people’s experiences. If your situation happens to be the same as James’s, you can even duplicate it to get the same results.

eCom Domination Final Verdict

James presents the course in a very non-boring manner so it’s easy to follow his course. His section on Facebook Ads is very comprehensive; however, I can’t say the same for the rest of the topics. If you want to focus on Facebook Ads for your business primarily, then the course is suitable for you.

I have gone through a lot of these dropshipping guru courses and personally, a lot of them are overpriced courses with very little information. They always try to sell you the dream or the lifestyle rather than actually selling you information. Dropshipping is not an overnight get-rich-quick scheme but, a lot of these gurus make it out like that. That’s why they ask for ridiculous prices for their courses. So, I personally get why you’d not trust these courses.

I have reviewed over 50+ dropshipping and eCommerce courses on my blog and by far the best course I recommend for any beginner or intermediate dropshipper is eCom Elites by Franklin Hatchett. Now, the reason why I love this course is that it’s one of the most affordable dropshipping courses out there and it has literally over 150+ videos. Franklin’s been doing dropshipping for many many years even before it was made famous by a lot of the gurus.

Now if you are still wondering whether you should try it out or not, you should read my eCom Elites Review to make an informed decision on whether or not you should get it or not.
