The Advanced eCommerce Academy is an eCommerce course by Seth Smith who is a Shopify guru specializing in the dropshipping business. The drop shipping business can be a very lucrative and sustainable business when you put your heart and mind to it. Contrary to popular belief, starting an online business takes a lot of hard work. Beginners should equip themselves with an abundance of knowledge through online drop shipping courses like the Advanced eCommerce Academy. However, with so many courses available out there, this review aims to help you decide if this is the one for you. At the end of this review, I hope you can make a well-informed decision.
What is the Advanced eCommerce Academy?
The Advanced eCommerce Academy is a drop shipping course curated explicitly for people who want to venture into the Shopify dropshipping business. Priced at $1,997, you will get nine weeks’ worth of course material that comes in video format for easy digestion. There is also a bonus module at Week 10 for high ticket drop shipping! Overall, the course teaches whoever wants to start a drop shipping business from scratch as it contains all the basic steps and information for this. Although each module lacks depth, the general guideline is there to help people build their business. As for the price point, it is quite steep for beginners but it is also a matter of if you can or are willing to spend this money to increase your knowledge.
Who is Seth Smith?
You’re probably here because you have been watching Seth’s YouTube videos where he regularly shares about all things related to dropshipping. Although he is pretty new to the YouTube game, he is a Shopify dropshipping guru. Having only been a year on YouTube, Seth currently only has 1,500 subscribers, but this number is growing. One thing I like about Seth is that he is very animated and captivating on camera, which means he conveys the course in a very engaging and exciting manner that you won’t get bored. However, is his course as good as his delivery? Can you learn enough to start your own Shopify store? Or will you be left hanging without further support? We will look into the modules further along with this review.
Who is Advanced eCommerce Academy For?
Judging from the whopping price of $1,997, I’d say this course isn’t suitable for beginners due to the high price point. As we know, beginners usually don’t have the budget for expensive costs. Nevertheless, once you go through the course material you will realize it is curated for beginners. I won’t say beginners can get the full picture of Shopify drop shipping, but it does have a lot of information from setting up, up until advertising, scaling, automation, etc. Although Seth touches on a lot of topics, each of these topics lacks depth, so you might be left with having to find out more from other resources.

Advanced eCommerce Academy Final Verdict
Going through this review, I can see that the Advanced eCommerce Academy course is mostly geared towards beginners. It includes the basic step one needs to establish a Shopify dropshipping store. However, as I too was a beginner drop shipper years ago, I know that most will not have a budget for such a costly program. Most of the information on this course also lacks depth, and it won’t be enough to rely solely on this course for success. This means that you will most likely have to spend even more to get more information. For this reason, I won’t be recommending this course.
I have gone through a lot of these dropshipping guru courses and personally, a lot of them are overpriced courses with very little information. They always try to sell you the dream or the lifestyle rather than actually selling you information. Dropshipping is not an overnight get-rich-quick scheme but, a lot of these gurus make it out like that. That’s why they ask for ridiculous prices for their courses. So, I personally get why you’d not trust these courses.
I have reviewed over 50+ dropshipping and eCommerce courses on my blog and by far the best course I recommend for any beginner or intermediate dropshipper is eCom Elites by Franklin Hatchett. Now, the reason why I love this course is that it’s one of the most affordable dropshipping courses out there and it has literally over 150+ videos. Franklin’s been doing dropshipping for many many years even before it was made famous by a lot of the gurus.
Now if you are still wondering whether you should try it out or not, you should read my eCom Elites Review to make an informed decision on whether or not you should get it or not.
